| Location: Deep on private property behind 1233 Blackard Road Directions: From Roxboro, take 501S to right on Robie Barton Road (SR 1218) to almost immediate right on Charlie Tapp Road (SR 1148) to right on Blackard Road (SR 1144) on the right. Access: Cemetery is ½ mile off road across fields and through woods. Permission and possible guidance at 1233 Blackard Road Survey: Apr 16, 2005 by Ken Dalton and Becky Farlow GPS: 36 19 07.7 N 078 59 08.7 W Notes: This family is discussed in Person Co Heritage Volume 2 Article 543 (William Tapp). Biddy Loyd Moore Tapp is in Volume 3 under the Moore family histories. WPA Survey: This cemetery was surveyed as a part of the WPA Cemetery Survey. It is indentified in the list of WPA cemeteries in these web pages as #194. It was surveyed September 1937. The two graves noted below were also surveyed in 1937. The commentary included in the WPA Survey is as follows: In this cemetery, overgrown with bushes and briars, owned by Will Dickie, are two marked graves and twenty unmarked graves. The earliest marked grave is Henry Tapp, died March 1, 1880. Location: US Highway 501 - South from Roxboro, NC, 6 1/2 miles, right one mile, right again one mile on plantation road, walk 1/2 or 3/4 mile North near Flat River in woods. Graves Several fieldstones and depressions are evident. Only 2 graves have tombstones.
